Y.K.I. was created from a desk at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. An idea was implanted in my mind, and I started to design.
What began as an idea and a design started to grow into something bigger. The more I created, the clearer the vision became—and that vision eventually became Y.K.I.
Today, Y.K.I. is more than the original design. It is a mindset and a growing movement centered on knowledge, self-understanding, truth, discipline, faith and growth.
What started at a desk became a message meant to reach beyond the desk—and eventually beyond the person who first imagined it.
At the center of Y.K.I. is a simple path of learning and becoming.
Stay curious. Learn from the world around you, from experience, from history—and learn from the Most High.
Understand your identity, your history, your strengths, your weaknesses and your purpose.
Question what you are told. Investigate. Think for yourself. Seek what is true.
Turn knowledge into action through discipline, focus, faith and growth.
Y.K.I. encourages people to educate themselves, understand who they are, question what they are taught, learn from the Most High, and continue growing throughout life.
The logo is the symbol. The mindset is the foundation. The actions are what give it meaning.
